Frozen Audition Boot Camp (Ages 8-12)
August 11 & 12 from 5:00PM-8:00PM
Join us at the historic Walnut Street Theatre for a high-energy Audition Boot Camp designed specifically for young performers ages 8-12 interested in building their audition skills for professional productions. For this workshop, we will specifically be focusing on the Walnut's upcomoing audition for Frozen which will delight our audiences this upcoming holiday season.
This exciting, skill-building class will include:
- DanceTechnique: A full warm-up, across-the-floor exercises, center work (with a focus on turns), and a fast-tempo combination set to music from Frozen.
- On the final day from 7-8pm, parents and students will have the unique opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Walnut Street Theatre’s Associate Artistic Director, Brian Kurtas, covering topics like professional audition preparation, expectations, and how to navigate the industry.
Please note: Participation in this class does not guarantee an audition slot or a role in Walnut Street Theatre's mainstage production of Frozen. However, it is a valuable opportunity for any young performer seeking more experience in professional audition settings.
At this time, only students ages 8-12 are being considered for the show and thus this workshop is limited to this age demographic.
Auditions for Frozen will be posted on our website in August with auditions to occur after Labor Day.
Spaces are limited—get ready to take the stage!
