111: Youth Musical Theatre for Ages 8-11

Ages: 8 - 11
Saturdays:
February 7-April 18, 9:00AM-10:30AM
The "Musical Theatre" genre is the most popular form of theatre in America today. It's exciting, magical and the fun is contagious! Your young star will experience musical theatre through ensemble singing, movement, acting exercises and solo work to take their skills to the next level.
We welcome disabled and neurodivergent children as well as those who are nondisabled.
Class will not meet on April 4. This class will end in a small, informal showcase for family and friends on the last day of class.
*Please note that if the class exceeds 20 students, the class will be split on the first day into two groups: introductory and intermediate.*
115: Teen Acting for Ages 12-17

This fun course explores the fundamentals of becoming a strong, young actor. Your young star will learn how to utilize vocal/physical training, theatre games, and improvisation to enhance their skills and build upon their theatrical education. Students acquire improved communication skills as well as bettered self-confidence for performance.
We welcome disabled and neurodivergent children as well as those who are nondisabled.
Class will not meet on April 4. This class will end in a small, informal showcase for family and friends on the last day of class.

151: Advanced Teen Acting for Ages 12-17

Take your skills to the next level! Step into a new world of performance preparation and motivation with this highly competitive course. The class will involve intensive scene study for the serious young actor. Students will use improvisation, vocal performance, and physical training to develop professional skills. This class is perfect for students who plan on continuing their theatrical education at the collegiate or professional level.

Develop a deeper appreciation for acting and the arts! Through theatre games, acting exercises, and text work, your student will gain confidence and an enriched understanding of the craft. Students will learn the vocabulary and techniques that every actor must know while making new friends along the way!

Interested in becoming an on-screen performer? This class is perfect for teaching your young one the intricacies of being a dynamic film actor or actress. Students will record and review their material each week to broaden their acting abilities for the big screen.
We welcome disabled and neurodivergent children as well as those who are nondisabled.
Class will not meet on April 4.
All students are required to bring their own SD cards. Each student in this class will walk away with a short film reel.
One Day President's Day Camp: The Songs of Newsies JR for Ages 12-17

Get ready for an unforgettable day off at the Walnut Street Theatre! Join us for an action-packed one-day camp where students will unleash their creativity by crafting scripts, learning dynamic choreography, and refining their vocal skills. Together, they’ll create an original skit inspired by the exciting songs of Newsies Jr. Don’t miss the spectacular showcase at 3:00 PM that same day, packed with vibrant dances, catchy tunes, and witty dialogue that family and friends will absolutely love! So come on down to sing, dance, and inspired with us this President's Day.
