Get ready to unleash your inner triple threat! In this exhilarating 5-week class, students will dive into a world of vibrant dance combinations designed to boost retention, refine technique, and express personality through movement. With the backdrop of popular musical theatre songs, this class promises to be both a blast and a transformative experience for every dancer! Perfect for beginner and intermediate dancers, it’s an opportunity to shine and have a fantastic time! Class will end in a small informal showcase for family and friends.

Join us at the historic Walnut Street Theatre for a high-energy Audition Boot Camp designed specifically for young performers ages 8-13 interested in building their audition skills for professional productions. For this workshop, we will specifically be focusing on the Walnut's upcomoing audition for A Christmas Story which will delight our audiences this upcoming holiday season.

This exciting, skill-building class will include:

• Jazz Technique: A full warm-up, across-the-floor exercises, center work (with a focus on turns), and a jazz combination set to music from A Christmas Story.
• Tap Technique: A tap warm-up followed by a breakdown of time steps, basic tap vocabulary, and a tap combination—also set to music from the show.
• On the final day from 7-8pm, parents and students will have the unique opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Walnut Street Theatre’s Associate Artistic Director, Brian Kurtas, covering topics like professional audition preparation, expectations, and how to navigate the industry.

Please note: Participation in this class does not guarantee an audition slot or a role in Walnut Street Theatre's mainstage production of A Christmas Story. However, it is a valuable opportunity for any young performer seeking more experience in professional audition settings.

At this time, only students ages 8-13 are being considered for the show and thus this workshop is limited to this age demographic.
