In the Development Division, the beginner-intermediate level camper is challenged to develop a deeper understanding of the craft through classes and the production of a 30 minute scripted musical. Advanced classes feature improvisation, acting technique, audition coaching, singing & vocal technique, dancing & stage movement and on-camera technique. This year, campers in this division will perform The Music Man KIDS in our historic Studio 3 space. Camp Walnut ends for all students on August 1, 2024.

Campers in the Development Division will have their public performances on August 3, 2024.

We welcome students of all abilities, including those with disabilities and children who are developmentally typical.

At this time, admission into the Development Division does NOT require an audition.

The Performance Division is for our most experienced campers. Campers will receive intensive instruction and perform in a fully produced show in the Walnut's Studio Theatre directed by industry professionals. This year, campers in this division will perform a the popular contemporary musical, 13 Jr. Camp Walnut ends for all students on August 1, 2024.

Campers in the Performance Division will have public performances August 1-4, 2024.
