Even the great actors of our day had to start somewhere. It's time for YOU to begin your journey! Always wanted to act, but were too nervous or unsure of where to begin? Now is your chance to explore new techniques and enhance your skills in a comfortable and relaxed setting! Through theatre games, acting exercises, and scene work, you will gain confidence and an enriched understanding of the craft. Learn the vocabulary and techniques that every actor must know while meeting new people along the way! Class will not meet the week of Thanksgiving (11/25-29).
203: Film Acting Studio for Beginners and Pros

Interested in becoming an on-screen performer? Whether you are a beginner looking to learn new methods or an artist polishing your craft, this exploratory course will introduce students to the fundamentals film acting. With exercises and group work, learn the techniques and skills that will make you a dynamic storyteller. Experience artistic growth as you monitor your progress through weekly recorded performances each week in preparation for acting on the big screen. All students are required to bring their own SD cards. Class will not meet the week of Thanksgiving (11/25-29).

It's time for you to become a triple threat! In this fast-moving class, students will work on different dance combinations to improve retention, technique and how to show personality through movement. Using popular musical theatre songs, this class will be both fun and enriching for students! This class will challenge you to strengthen your approach to movement both physically and mentally. Led with positivity and possibility, get ready to have great time!

221B: Acting II, Intermediate Scene Study
with Nora Gair

Learn and discover the proper approach to scene work and character development by using what the playwright has given you on the page. Continue your self discovery as an artist while building your ability and vocabulary for further advanced study. Students will delve into one full-length scene throughout the semester utilizing theatre exercises, coaching from the instructor, and reading discussions to bring the scene to life. Class will not meet the week of Thanksgiving (11/25-29).

This immersive class is designed to provide actors with a realistic audition experience, simulating a professional environment with all the key components in place: a proctor, a waiting area, a casting director or director, a table, a chair, and a reader.
In this dynamic workshop, you will:
