112: Youth Musical Theatre Dance for Ages 7-11

It's time for you to become a triple threat! In this 5 week class, students will work on different dance combinations to improve retention, technique and how to show personality through movement. Using popular musical theatre songs, this class will be both fun and enriching for students! Great for beginner/intermediate dancers. 

We welcome disabled and neurodivergent children as well as those who are nondisabled.

Class will not meet the week of Thanksgiving (11/22-11/28)

Payment plan available: $20 deposit plus 2 payments of $43.33, paid every four weeks. Final payment of $43.34.

117: Youth Acting for the Camera for Ages 10-17

Interested in becoming an on-screen performer? This class is perfect for teaching your young one the intricacies of being a dynamic film actor or actress. Students will record and review their material each week to broaden their acting abilities for the big screen.

We welcome disabled and neurodivergent children as well as those who are nondisabled.

Class will not meet on November 28.

Each student in this class will walk away with a short film reel.

Payment plan available: $20 deposit plus 2 payments of $98.33, paid every four weeks. Final payment of $98.34.

256: Intermediate Shakespeare Analysis

Embark on an enlightening journey into the world of Shakespeare, where we’ll unravel the complexities of his timeless works. This class aims to demystify the texts and elevate your confidence in reading and speaking the Bard’s language. Bid farewell to confusion and embrace a deeper appreciation of his artistry. With essential tools and strategies for comprehension, you’ll learn to navigate intricate multi-line thoughts with ease. Engage with meter, rhetoric, argument, and wordplay through a series of dynamic exercises that blend critical analysis with creative expression. Together, we will explore a curated selection of speeches, scenes, and sonnets, allowing Shakespeare to reveal himself as a captivating companion. Join us as we delve into the rich tapestry of his language—each line a gateway to laughter, insight, and profound discovery.

Participation in 255: Bard Basics is recommended, but not required.

Classes will not meet the week of Thanksgiving (11/22-11/28).

207: Chorale: Adult Musical Theatre Choir

Join us for a journey into the world of musical theater ensemble singing! Designed for those with basic group singing experience—whether from theater, choir, church, or previous vocal workshops—this class will help you refine your vocal skills and stage presence as a tool for shining while working in an ensemble. Together, we’ll explore 3-4 pieces from classic musical theater repertoire, blending solo and ensemble elements. You’ll strengthen your ear for harmonies, learn to balance and hold harmonies steady, and use tone, dynamics, and articulation to convey emotion as a group. Light movement and staging will bring each piece to life, culminating in a live showcase performance on the final night. Don’t miss this opportunity to sing, connect, and shine!

Classes will not meet the week of Thanksgiving (11/22-11/28).
